THE KRUKOWSKI GEORGIAN - POLISH INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH CENTER
The Krukowski Interdisciplinary Research Center (KIRC) is a research institution registered in Georgia. Its structure includes the Krukowski Foundation based in Tbilisi and the Krukowski Center Science Station located in Kutaisi.
Krukowski Center Science Station aims to support joint Polish-Georgian scientific and public outreach projects, including archaeological research and interdisciplinary studies, carried out in Georgia or involving Polish and Georgian scientists and students in other countries. In the future, due to the patron's biography, activities outside Georgia will focus on Ukraine. Science Station also envisions expanding its initiatives to other countries and joint projects, such as in the Middle East.
The Krukowski Center also conducts training and educational programs, and summer schools related to archaeology, as well as auxiliary disciplines in archaeology, such as archaeobotany, geoarchaeology, etc.
KIRC also supports publishing initiatives and the organization of exhibitions and other events that promote the results of scientific research.
The Krukowski Foundation is actively involved in projects aimed at making cultural heritage sites accessible to people with disabilities, including blind and visually impaired individuals.
